UTTARAKHAND-HARIDWAR--Baisakhi - Pramukh Shahi Sanan-- Millions of people gather to take holy dip in the sacred waters the holy river on the occasion of Kumbh Mela is considered most sacred. Some of these bathing days are designated "royal," and it is on these days that the naga sadhus (naked mendicants) parade and bathe Haridwar (Uttarakhand) on the bank of River Ganges.
